Program Description

A-TCAAs Home Energy Program provides low-income residents in Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Amador Counties with utility bill payment assistance, energy-saving home improvements such as weather stripping, insulation and appliances, as well as education on reducing energy costs and budget counseling. In 2006, 111 homes were weatherized in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties, and a total of 1,399 homes were assisted with utility payments.

2009 Eligibility Requirements

Please note that the below figures represent guidelines, not guarantees. Clients will not receive benefits until they have applied for and been processed through the Energy and Weatherization Department. For households with more than six members, or for any other information, contact the Energy Coordinator below.

Amador County
Household size: 1; income: no more than $2431/month.
Household size: 2; income: no more than $3179/month.
Household size: 3; income: no more than $3927/month.
Household size: 4; income: no more than $4675/month.
Household size: 5; income: no more than $5423/month.
Household size: 6; income: no more than $6171/month.

Calaveras County
Household size: 1; income: no more than $2431/month.
Household size: 2; income: no more than $3179/month.
Household size: 3; income: no more than $3927/month.
Household size: 4; income: no more than $4675/month.
Household size: 5; income: no more than $5423/month.
Household size: 6; income: no more than $6171/month.

Tuolumne County
Household size: 1; income: no more than $2431/month.
