Family Learning & Support Services: The Family Learning Center provides English language instruction, G.E.D. preparation, citizenship classes, job skills, parenting, early childhood education and interactive literacy activities in Ione. The Family Resource Centers offer healthy and community-oriented activities and services for residents of all ages.
In 2010, the Family Learning Center in Amador County provided services for an average of 124 adults and 152 children. The Family Learning Centers in Tuolumne County provided services for an average of 164 adults and 196 children. The Family Resource Centers offered more than 1400 activities in Amador and Tuolumne Counties.
Position Definition: As a part of the ATCAA team, the Family Learning and Support Services (FL&SS) Family Advocate will link families from the Family Resource Centers (FRCs) with community resources. The Family Advocate will also perform intensive case management and will work with other Family Advocates and program staff to ensure a seamless system of care for families in the Mother Lode FRC Network across three counties.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Have case management experience (2 years with A.A. degree; 4 years experience with no A.A. degree);
- Meet all federal/state licensing requirements and/or program requirements necessary for this position: possess a valid California driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and fingerprint clearance;
- Be proficient in computer operating systems and word processing software;
- Ability to type accurately;
- Ability to prepare grammatically correct material;
- Ability to follow directions with minimum supervision;
- Ability to work with individuals with varying economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds;
- Ability to work as a team member;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks;
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Desired Qualifications:
- 12 units or more in Early Childhood Education;
- Possess an Associates Degree at Community College level;
- Spanish bi-lingual, bi-cultural preferred;
- Knowledge of community resources.

Starting Salary: $ 11.98 – $ 13.20 per hour
Part-Time Benefits Package:
• Retirement (Money Purchase Pension Plan) – 7.5 % employer contribution and 100% vested upon regular status
